Picked up an '88 Peavey Vandenberg. I love the old Peavey stuff. It completes the trifecta of Peaveys I wanted as a kid in the store where I took lessons. The last is a family pic with the '87 Nitro and '89 Tracer. Great overlooked and underrated guitars. I'm feeling pretty young today.

Wow dude!
Which one u like best??
I like them all for different reasons.

Nitro:
My favorite neck of all time
Versatile with the three mini toggles
Kahler Killer Bridge for relatively quick string changes...no ball end cutting and no wrench to lock strings
PAF Pro

Tracer:
Just a solid all around guitar
Mini toggle for splitting humbucker
Kahler Spyder
Tone Zone

Vandenberg
Looks badass
Very small....24 fret..24 3/4 scale length..narrow nut width..ideal for stretchy licks..:)
Kahler Killer
Tone Zone

They all play and sound great.

Congrats!

I too took a few lessons at a store that carried Peavey when I was 13...The Renown 212 was the one I wanted lol

I like this part of your post as much as the pics of your sweet guitars. Sweet story, sweet collection. It's cool that you are able to realize those youthful dreams later on. It took me many years longer that I thought it would to enjoy some of the same sorta things. Enjoy them often and in good health brother and thanks for sharing them with me.

They're great guitars and a connection to an inspiring and simpler time.
