Here is a shot of my new LaMarra Guitar. Have to decide on the stain color today. I made this hunk of wood out of Michigan maple and 100 year old mahogany that my family has a stock pile of! Love the contour being mahogany and the figured top! It's down to natural or Gretch Orange!

Gretch orange it is with natural maple headstock!

Jeff,
Were you the guy raving about the tone of the Switch guitars with the composite bodies a while ago? If so, are you still digging their tone?

By the way, this guitar looks killer and it is even better that the wood is something from your families stockpile.

Funny you should ask. I plugged the Switch in today after not playing it for like 6 months. HOLY SHIT! This thing just sound huge and made me say I don't need any other guitars except this one being built. I am floored everytime I plug into it! I have a custom LaMarra pickup in it that is sorta a better and hotter JB and it just kills!
Ya this LaMarra is gonna be really special since the wood is from our property and the mahogany is from our family stockpile. We inherited about 4 thousand board feet of 100 year old honduras mahogany a couple years ago. One piece we have is 32 feet long 7 3/8th thick and 27 inches wide! Got a few pieces going to Anderson to have a fiddle built also! I am very fortunate to have the wood!

Jeff has always had the best wood. :emofag: :grim:

That is gonna be a knock out in orange. I can't wait to see it? Motor City PUPs or does Frank do pickups too? Two buckers so it looks like a five way switch on top. Friggin killer. Oh and don't forget to update us on the TA. My favorite guitars. I don't have one anymore but I NEED ONE!
