New Helix Day

Had a LT when they were first released; sold it after a few years; been using the HX-Effects and Helix Native so another Helix, this time the Floor; just updated to the latest software version; connected to a PA.

Nice! I've been toying with the idea of a Helix or Kemper for a while now, the convenience is an easy sales pitch. I've always had Line 6 stuff of some sort kicking around, my pod x3 got serious use in my apartment dwelling days.. I picked up an IR-2 that got me thinking again. How are you liking it? Is it relatively user friendly?

Yes, but I also had a few modelers in the past including a Helix LT; and Helix Native looks just like the HX Edit software, so not my first time with these makes it easier, if I can remember things lol.

I don't need or want capture, and modeling like guitar software plugins let me edit the tones more extensively; and good captures are usually done by pros or people with more time and skills, I just like twisting knobs and building the signal chain without getting into deep parameters like Fractal...I had a Axe-Fx Ultra when it was the top model, and it was more work tweaking than I wanted.

For Helix, these simple steps really work:

the only thing I do different is to use the Global EQ hi-cut and low-cut so I don't have an hi and low cut EQ on every patch, and can adjust it once for everything.
