Hey Bruce, I was just kidding with all the
's.
Being a pain-in-the-ass, as usual. haha.
I made it to the amp show, and hung out with John at the Egnater booth. Chatted about guitars and amps, discussed the pros and cons of obnoxious flashy rock and roll stage clothes, played some guitar, and I think we convinced my dad to get himself
a Rebel 20 for Father's day. So mission accomplished!!! I swear, that little amp sounds so freakin good.
I think John would have taken my Goldtop Tele home if I wasn't keeping an eye on him.
John also hooked up the "Rebel Wall of Doom". Basically, he took a new, channel switching Rebel30, and daisy chained 3 more 1x12 cabinets together. Making a sort of "modular" 4x12 cabinet. The sound was enormous.
We coined a great tagline for that setup: "Carry your 4x12 one speaker at a time!"
All in all, a great day at the NY Amp Show. It's comforting to be in a building with a million amp manufacturers, and play a bunch of other great, high quality amps, and still feel 100% satisfied with the amp you already own.
