Hi,

Just a very quick question... I'm in need of a good noise gate. I've been considering getting the TC Electronic G-Force for all my Fxs and noticed it has noise gate as well. However, I've been advised that the TC Nova Dynamics pedal has a much better Gate than the G-Force.

Any views on this?

I bought a used isp decimator pro rack g. It is realy expensive, but does its job quite well =)

Hey I've just checked out their site. I sound like the sound clip number 2:

Looks like the decimator could be ideal! Thanks!!!

I just threw one up in the classifieds. http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=83146

Thanks but I'm in the UK.

I had ISP Decimator Pro Rack G, but didn't find use for it anymore so sold it. Are you sure you need a noise gate? Could the noise issue be eliminated some other way?

...or do you plan to use it for tightening your modern "über distortion staccato" -type of tones  ?

I use the noise gate on my G major 2, works fine for me.

+1
The best feature is that you can program the parameters for each midi cc patch, meaning you can use a very light or no gate when using a compressed clean tone, then a very hard knee gate for the high gain chug patch.

MXR Smart Gate is a great option as well, but the ISP Decimators are the shizz nizz...

Yep thats exactly what I want it for... going to trial a ISP G-String pedal over the holidays.
