Noisegate ... in the serial loop or in front of the amp?

Are you useing Noisegate in serial loop or in front of the amp..any advises.. positive or negative for both ways?

Depends on the issue and product....

Why not use an ISP Decimator for both?????

I actually bought DBX 266 XL... gate and compressor.. I´ll try both ways

If I paid $4500 for amp and needed a $100 noise gate for it, I would be one very unhappy camper.....

There are better ways to get rid of noise

Yes, check preamp tubes first

I use it only for some of very hi gain settings. In other cases, the chain is only.. guitar, cable and amp..or with some rack processor... Diezels are very quiet amps
