i have a torpedo live and the fan just started making alot of noise, i can hear it spin, it is very audible. is there a fix for this?

As long as it does not bleed into the signal, like some overpriced zvex amp did.....

The fan is small on the Torpedo Live, so when it's at full speed you can hear it. Dissipating 100W is very demanding.

This said, is it a new problem or did you notice it already, for example when you push your amp volume for some time?

new problem, havent played live in about 4 weeks and it started 2 weeks ago at low volume. not the low hum i used to hear but loud cyclic

A faulty fan can always happen.

Did you change anything in your amp settings? In other words, is there any chance that you hear the fan now because you play your amp louder?

Sorry for the stupid question, I just need the answer to help appropriately. ;)

no change on anything with the amp or volume, when i power up my rack it starts right away without any load and continues when the amp is on

OK, please send us a message over the Help Desk so we can take car of you, the temperature regulation may by faulty.

I just noticed mine doing the same thing last night. In my case however, I cranked the amp for only a minute or so and then brought the mast back to about half way (50watt head). I just figured it was because I ran the amp hot for a minute and it never readjusted.

OK, it is normal that the speed of the fan vary with the temperature inside the box. And it takes time to cool down so don't be afraid, that is normal.
