Hey guys

The herbert that arrived on thursday is my first foray into the world of midi switiching amps and i need some help. Basically i've been perusing the interent lookin at midi controllers and have narrowed it down to either the columbus (which in the uk is extremly expensive) and the voodoo labs ground control pro ( which is also rather expensive). Granted, when you've spent 2,500 pounds on an amp 300 pounds is not a lot but at this minute i'm flat broke after the herbie and need something to switch channels, loop, and patches on the g sharp all at the push of one button. I've been way back and used the search function but i'm steadily getting confused.

Also, I'm wondering as to whether the phantom power provided to midi pedals is different between the U.S and the U.K, basically wanting to know if a pedal purchased from the U.S will work fine with a U.K voltage herbert? As ebay may be on the cards.

Any help would be appreciated immensly as i know that the ammount of midi questions on here must get annoyin for the people who answer them repeatedly.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Hi,
MIDI-Power is normally 9-12 Volt for the most MIDI-pedals. The phantompower of the Herbert is 12Volt, so there should be no problem. The Columbus is great, but as you said not for free, but it works excellent. The MIDI-programming of the Herbert is really simple, so it should be simple to enter the world of MIDI...
