Still in the honeymoon phase, but this pedal rocks. I'm running it in front of the clean channel on a Mesa Mark IVa head into a '83 Marshall JCM800 4x12 with G12-65s. I don't know how it actually compares to a real SLO. To me, the NORMAL side has that Kerrang I've been craving for. Soldano needs to make a pedal with only the Normal side. There are so many tones on this one side: clean boost, clean with a some hair on it, stellar crunch, and hard rock/old school '80s metal. It's tight.
The overdrive side is a different beast. More gain, saturation, a touch of sag/looseness. I'm still working on this side. Overall, I'm impressed that this doesn't sound like a pedal at all.
It's a purple one too! I had $30 in Reverb credits, so I used them to offset the higher price over the white.
