Got my new speakers in and threw them in the mills. Fuck my life they sound good. I haven't gotten to play them at appropriate bedroom volumes yet, but at 93 dbs, they sound fucking massive. Very good eq span. No spikey frequencies, and they are so far raping the k100s i just took out. (coincidentally, if you are looking for k100s, I know a guy that has a quad). But i saw a made in UK sticker on the side, which was a pleasant surprise, not that it really matters, I don't care about where somehting is made as much as how it sounds, and even not broke in, these things are doing it for me. Later when I am playing at normal volumes; 107dbs or so, I will make a clip maybe. So far they seem to be the perfect marriage to the W800, I just hope they can hold up with some real volume.

Edited: because i finally made a quick clip..

Yep due to COVID Celestion has been making these in England for a few yrs now. I bought a pair and they did not have any of the abrasive high end that I remember them having last time I played the H30 Anni, these are much better. In fact almost like a totally different speaker. The older MIC versions, even after breaking them in still had some abrasive high end, these have none.

Congrats! Yeah those are great speakers, tried them out last year and really enjoyed them.

They've been making these, and Greenbacks in the UK since 2018.

I almost went greenbacks. I love greenbacks also. I just heard some clips of these. I hear mixing these and greenbacks is pretty cool also.

These are sick, I use the originals that have MADE IN ENGLAND on the labels. Powerful shit for sure grass fucking hopper.

I think these speakers allow my amp to breathe. It's like I had to boost and crank the highs to get the k100s to allow me to hear the upper mids. So now, I can actually hear the highs and so amp sounds better without a boost. just a few adjustments to the eq on the amp. Fucking thing is slaying plugged straight in.

I had the exact same experience with the Anniversary 12H-30 made in England models circa 2010-2011. We even did the variac break in on them per Scumback instructions and they were still harsh in the highs. I know alot of guys rave about them but it wasn't what I experienced.

In 2019 I bought Made in England 55hz and 75hz 12H-30 Heritage Reissue quads of both and both are fantastic speakers right out of the box, the 75HZ sound as close to my original 1979 Marshall cabinet which I have owned since 1985 so I heard these speakers when they were somewhat fresh. I can't recommend the Heritage Reissue 12H-30's enough if you are looking.

These newer ones that I have were made in England in 2020. They are far far better than the earlier ones I owned that were MiC. In the 74 cab I have 2 Pulsonic H30s from 72 on top and the 2 H30 Annis on bottom. At volume they all sound very close to each other. Very surprised about that.

made a quick clip. Still need to work out the mic placement and eq, but it gives an idea.

Yep, sounds like Anniversaries. Big and full with an aggressive midrange. Sounds great!

I switched back to my Friedman cab with broken-in 90's Made in UK v30's the other day and I was disappointed vs the anniversaries. Sounds dull and boring in comparison. And I think v30's are great speakers.

That is interesting. I went from v30s originally to the k100s then to this. I wouldn't mind A/Bing the two types. I liked the v30s, but not really the speaker for me. I feel like these sit kind of in between a greenback and a V30 in a lot of ways.

The v30’s have a more flat and even EQ. Good all around speaker and I still like them. The anniversaries have more aggressiveness and character.

The anniversaries have been described as a mix of v30 and greenback in one speaker.

Dont know whats different? I put some in a bogner cab in 2003? They sucked Worst celestion ever nothing like original 30 watt

Well, that makes sense then.

What amp was it with? I could see these being too much if you have a super bright amp, for sure.
