OD/dist/fuzz --> buffer --> M4?

Trying to find a workaround for front-end OD/dist/fuzz pedals into the M4. Currently they only sound (just) OK going into the T/T channel A. All other channels sound like crap.

Would a buffer between the dirt pedals and the M4 help? Just a thought as I'm not crazy about leaving the T/T for a BMAN mod. (need lots-of-headroom-clean)

thats not the purpose of a buffer at all.. a buffer will not solve your problem.

can you define "sound like crap"?

I run a Fulltone OCD (V3 I think) and an ancient Boss OD-2 Turbo Overdrive into the front end of my M4 - D/D, SL2X, VX, and COD modules - and they sound fine with any of the modules.

What kind of OD/dist/fuzz pedals are you using?

I'm using a Big Muff (and variants) and Zendrive clone (which will be replaced with a MI Audio Tube Zone clone).
