After a love hate relationship with my 5153, I've decided to sell it an move on. I haven't been liking the tone that much (I hate channel 2) and have been using the clean channel for most of my playing with a riot in front of it (best dirt box ever!). I was listening to some of mark day's demos and think I might want to check out one of the OD100's to replace my EVH. What are the basic differences in the OD100 series? I like all the gain on tap in my EVH. Is there a particular model OD100 that has a similar level of gain (or more)?

5153 channel 2 is my favorite channel... you must play hard core metal?

hmmm.... old thread. No, no, no- I play 80's hair rock and punk.

Just played a PT100 and it rocks... :rawk:

One of the best and most versatile amps I've ever played, It's that good!
I liked it so much that I ordered one today...

hope that helps,
Charles

I own a PT-100... couldn't be happier. Amp does it all and does it all damn well. Only other amp I will buy will be the updated PT-100 when John finishes her up.

FWIW, I like the standard and the Classic/Classic+ the best.
The classic series is like the best fender/Marshall in a box...nothing more.
The Standard is a bit smoother and more balanced to me than the others. To me, the standard is perfect for 8-'s stuff, YMMV.
