Thanks to Lisa for the hookup on the Black Friday deal. Made the value for money excellent.
Already got talking about it on a pickup hunt but here it is. It was sounding pretty good through the T Verb today but I still want to lower the guitar output a little, clear things up a tad. Bolt on necks and Recto’s have always been a good combo in my experience. I thought about doing a clip but remembered there’s a 100 YT clips of these damn guitars already…and by people who know what the Fuck to do with a Floyd 😂

Who is Lisa?

I’m strongly considering installing a Hum plus neck SC pickguard, as I was never crazy about the actual frankenstein look. What do y’all think about parchment color? I don’t see a dark color working for me and think straight white won’t work either. The body is kind of an off white verging on a very light cream color. Also thinking of a raw nickel cover for the Hum. Anyone think coil tapping on the bridge would sound better maintaining the slant?

Expand your horizons…think leopard print

Man, that is a great looking guitar. You cannot go wrong with either the '78 or the Pasadena White. As much as a VH nerd as I am, I really prefer the stripe-delete Franky series. And I also really like the idea of a parchment or off white pickguard. You might check with Warmoth - I think they will cut dam near anything you want as far as a pickguard is concerned. And I can't imagine they do not have that parchment material on the shelf (?)

The only thing is that the heel of the EVH guitars extends through to the end of the neck - rather than having the 22nd fret hang over what would be a 'stock' Fender style heel. So unless Warmoth can cut the pickguard for an EVH heel, it may require a bit of massaging or 'relief' - but I've done this and it was pretty darned easy. Enjoy that guitar!

Actually wouldn’t be against it if it was possible.

Edit…so found them on eBay but can’t find them yet with a Hum single neck SC config.

I’m blanking on the name of the company but they’ll do a custom one as long as you provide the dimensions

I already figured I’d be doing a little filing. Especially if I decide to keep the bridge pickup slant (but probably not). At first I wasn’t sure about keeping the guitar but starting to really like the neck. I’ve struck out on almost every other mainstream, affordable choice neck in Floyd guitars. I do like the neck Kramer is using and a Baretta or similar was also in my sights but with the discount on this it became a no brainer.
