esp. for VoodooChild24:

a Diezel 2x12" has a mono impedance (imp) of 8 Ohm, each speaker is 16 Ohm, which are wired parallel. There are two jack on the back: one mono (8 Ohm) or using both (=stereo, each 16 Ohm).
So either run a speaker cable from the "mono" out of the cab to the 1x8 speaker in of the VH4s

a Mesa 2x12" (at leatst those I've stumbled over in the net, Recto cabs) also has a total imp of 8 Ohm, means that each speaker is 16 Ohm. Run that from its mono out to the 1x8 Ohm of the VH4S.
If it should be an older cab with 4 Ohm imp (2 8 Ohm speakers), please use the 1x4 Ohm in.

The VH4S has - for each "amp" (side) 5 speaker outs:
1x16 - hook a 1x16 cab here like a Marshall 4x12"
two jacks for either 2x16 or 1x8 - hook 8 ohm cabs here (or two 16 Ohm speakers)
two jacks for either 2x8 Ohm or 1x4 Ohm - hook 4 Ohm cabs here (or two 8 Ohm speakers)

Please keep in mind that an amp (like the VH4 or VH4S - which is like two amps - has just three impedance settings:
16, 8 and 4 Ohm.

my VH4S is connected to my Diezel FL4x12 cab with G12K-100 speakers (each 8 Ohm) to the 2x8 ohm output. So when I use two (same) cabs, I just connect them to mono 1x 8 Ohm each. correct?

Cab is 8 Ohm mono or 2x16 Ohm stereo !

Inside the cab speakers are wired in pairs (series = 8+8 = 16) and for mono those pairs are in parallel (1/16 + 1/16 = 2/16 => 8 Ohm)

So when running in stereo mode (as shown), run each cable into the 1x16 Ohm of A and B of the amp.

Haha. Thanks for clearing things up Olaf, that clears up the confusion.
