Gonna sell my boogie rack as I just always keep comparing it to the diezel when I would get home from practice.

My hot buttons are pristine cleans like my VH4S, would like it to be Midi capable but not a must, would dig a way to turn on and off channel inserts and the FX loop, ultra high gain lead not a must, but since I play mostly rhythm and write songs I like a nice OD that is similar to the Vh4S channel 3 (oh and my Vh4S is biased with EL34's Ruby Busters)

Wait a second...  Did I just sell my self on the Herbert???

Just the price on the Einstein is delicious compared to the Herbert head. I might was well get another Vh4 for fucks sake.

Thanks guys!

I say Herbert. Killer cleans, great gain, mid cut, midi, it goes on. My personal favorite Diezel.

What does the mid cut do? never had that on an amp. Thanks man!

Nothing wrong with the Einstein! I would have gotten the Herbert but I needed a cab as well. That extra I would have spent on the Herbert would have taken that out of the equation.

Love my Einstein! I know it doesn't have some of the things that the higher end models have but what it does have (like any Diezel!) is stellar tone! Sparkling clean, great crunch, a little bit more and that awesome channel 2 hellacious gain! Love it!

What a great amp! I also like the smaller head size. I didn't need a 150 watt head. 100 watts is plenty for me!
:)

yeah the appeal was the of course Diezel   Smaller size for taking out to the studio, and I just need 2 channels really. But I dont like that you can't turn on and off the FX loop from the front. :(

Based on what I've heard from you I'd say go for the expensive one :D

Mid cut scoops some mids, works on all channels, and is midi switchable. Killer for the clean, and if you like metal, it's a Holy Shit moment. :D

By the way, nothing wrong with the Einstein, I loved mine, had it for a year and a half. The only reason I sold it was the Herbert could do everything it did (for my applications) and then some.

Do yourself a favor and try the Herbert. You may like it better than your VH4. I did.

I would, I just wish I had a Diezel Dealer local. The only one is guitarasylum.com which is here in Ny but way out from me on Lawng Gialand   But we'll see if they have one. :)

QFT, plus you always go for the expensive stuff so that's one more reason to get the Herbert.

For real though: Herbert.

Yeah I have been reading more and more tonight about it. Reviews etc. Seems herbert is the way to go. Just wish I could find a used one, as a new one is basically the same as a Vh4. I might as well get another Vh4 (even though mine technically is a VH4S) :D

Herbie gives you different tones than the VH4...you may like them even better...

you sir, will DEFINITELY go with the herbert. i know that. believe me and just buy it. :D

Individually is prolly gonna get a better overall price.
