With all the buzz about the CCV there was a wee bity nugget of talk about a CCM amp and all I know is that it is way out.

Can anyone fill me in on the details of what this CCM amp is to become?

Thanks!

Mark originally designed two amps for Production.

The CCV which was the flagship and created first. It is a Marshall esque fire breather that is along the lines of the tone Mark is really known for, the Jose type High Gain sound.

It was named CCV by Marks former partner which I believe ment: Cameron Custom Vintage. This is a bit of a misleading name as its not a vintage voiced amp at all but rather a killer modded Marshall on steroids vibe with Marks own thing going on.

The CCM was the second amp and it was the Cameron Custom Modern which was supposed to be voiced a bit darker and more bottom end like a modern type scooped type amp. There were two prototypes of the CCM made. One was stolen from a band Mark loaned his too and the other one is with Marks former partner Chris Schmidt in NJ under lock and key.

Of course Mark built the CCM and has the plan and schematic although according to Mark the design of the CCM is still a bit of a work in progress.

It is a different tone from the CCV and my thought is most guys would want both as they are different enough to warrant it or so Mark tells me.

Our plans include bringing it into production in 2012.

Thanks for the heads up. I can't wait to hear it.

I can tell you that i had it for about a month, used it for some recording and rehearsals. I have high quality recordings of it, the one Chris Schmidt had was a fairly bright amp, no zener diodes like the ccv... it was not scooped or dark sounding ...id say a tad more gain, tighter gain then the ccv, not as versatile but a cool amp. Pretty cool amp, i prefered the ccv overall.. ill dig up the hi quality clips... and repost them...

Any plans on giving Chris a ring and seeing what it would take for him to part with it?

Chris is a good guy and I don't think he wants to give up the amp and he doesn't need the dough so doubtful. I am hoping maybe he might loan it to me though.

I tried many times to buy Chris's CCM......he had no interest and was not down with selling that amp for any amount of money.

He is not bitter, spoke with him at length on the phone and he was positive and wished us the best. Seemed like a solid good guy to me.

He already has a Ferrari and a Lamborghini in his garage. I actually saw them...so money is not the issue ;)

I bet he "might" take $25,000 for his CCM.  Anty up Jay...

When I hung out with Chris at Zepman's house back in 07 he had a Rollie on that was easily 15-20 grand.

That dude is not hurting for money so yeah as you stated ante up if you are serious ;)

Well if one got stolen why not offer a reward? I bet if you put up enough money someone might find it.

Fixed that for you. ;)

Interested to see what the CCM sounds like, again. I heard a clip a few years ago, but cannot seem to find it.

Any chance of getting those high quality clips posted?

CCM will be coming to a theater near you in due time.
