I'm gassing for a Floyed type guitar. I tried the new Wolfgang and was not impressed. Felt stiff and the frets were really small.
So a Music Man Axis Super Sport has popped up locally for $1,100.00 and I'm thinking of picking it up.
Wondering what you guys think, I've been a Les Paul guy for the last 15 years. It's either this or I'm going the other way and grabbing a PRS Mcarty.

As an EBMM JP6 BFR player I can tell you they make a killer high quality guitar!!

why not get a floyded Axis?

they're out there all day long at that price or lower.

Way to much money.

I would go the PRS route in your particular case, the only Music Man guitars that I ever played that felt comfortable were the JP models and the Albert Lee models. Not to say they aren't good guitars but the Axis or Axis super sport just never got along with me.

The quality is better that's for sure. I dig the McCarty because it's a short scale like a Les Paul

Axis Super Sports are great. The only thing I dislike about them is the 10" fingerboard radius. I'd prefer a flatter radius myself.

The axis super sport doesn't have a floyd. You can find an axis with a floyd for under $1100 if you look. If you're looking for a floyded guitar, I don't know why you would consider a prs  Might as well stick with your LP. At any rate, I've owned a couple of axis' and they are great guitars

I've had a black sparkle Axis SS for years. I love that thing. But $1100 may be a bit steep.

I love my EBMM Axis guitars but if you are coming from an LP the neck my be a little small. Even the guitar player in my other band who plays a PRS Custom 22 says he loves the way my guitars feel but he can't stand the smaller neck.
