Orange October using VH4 on recording (Peter check it out)

I have been a part of this forum for the past year and think that it is the best forum around. Peter has been great to work with so I thought that I would post the songs that my band recently recorded for all to hear. I have two links, one is our myspace but the sounds quality is not as good as a new site we just became a part of Dirtbag. I would recommend listening to the songs on the Dirt Bag site because the sound quality is really great.

On the song "War Within" I used the VH4 for all the tracks you hear. On the song "Nikki" I used the VH4 on the all of the distortion tracks. On the rest of the songs I used the Vh4 for two rythem tracks and a Soldano Avenger for two more rythem tracks. Let me know what you think Peter and everybody else. For those that think that the VH4 cannot do metal listen to "War Within" the VH4 for can produce kick ass metal! Also, the song "Nikki" is me singing as well as all rythem guitar and the guitar solo. "War Within" I play all of the rythem guitar tracks and solo as well, and I sing the chorus (lower vocal part) with the other singer in my band.

We recorded these songs in my home studio using Pro Tools produce by me and my band. Our CD was mixed at The Mix Room in Burbank, CA (credits include Breaking Benjamin, Chris Daughtry, Disturbed, etc.) and it was mastered by two time Grammy Award winner Robert Hadley (credits include Korn, Stained, Pink Floyd, etc.).

They all sound awesome. I'm saving up funds to purchase a VH4 and hearing stuff like this just gets me really excited. Great tone and playing man.

by the way, are the guitars all VH4? what is the other guitarist playing?

On "Nikki" and "War Within" I recorded all four rythem guitar tracks, my other guitar player recorded the guitar noodles in the chorus. On these two songs I only used the VH4 for all of the rythem guitar tracks. All of the other songs had two rythem tracks with the VH4 and two with a Soldano Avenger 100. So each song has four seperate takes of rythem guitar.

You guys kick ass! Love the tone and the production and the songs are actually good which is pretty fucking rare! I would come to your show and check you guys out! :rock:
