For me who has owned almost every Friedman amp there is I've found the SD-1 to dial out the low voicing Dave bakes into his circuits. All version of the JEL has that big time and the Sd-1 is the perfect boost to bring the kerrang out. I've tried at least 6-7 pedals with it and no luck, however the SD-1 does it perfectly.

I just ordered a JEL-20.
I don't know if the SD1 will replace my TS808 mini, but it should earn a spot in front of my amps.
I am moving on from my JJ Jr., nice amp, but not my tone, more modern, the JEL is more vintage.
