So after spending a week with a Bogner Shiva, I decided that if I was going to lay down this much coin for an amp, I might as well get something that's as versatile as possible lol. Soooooo what's the solution for me? Well after reading every possible thread here in the Egnater forum I could for several months, I decided to go for a MOD50!!! I'm stoked! Returned the Shiva to Fat Sound Guitars in Cary (great place to deal with btw, awesome gear and great guys!) and drove over out to Indoor Storm in Raleigh (I'm from the High Point, NC area btw, so it was a nice day trip). Spoke with Eddie (what a great guy!) and got the MOD50! Picked the T/D and SL2 modules. I really, really, really have to get the Vox and ERECT modules too! Maybe in a few months!

Anyway, I'm stoked and just wanted to share!! :D

You won't be let down, it's a perfect solution for versatility without the compromise that often accompanies versatility. And yes, you definitely do need the vox and erect modules!

Welcome, Good Choice on the T/D & SL2. That is a killer combo. You will end up with all the modules before it is over :-)

You made the right choice. Nothing against the Bogner Shiva, it's a great amp, but a big +1 on the Egnater's versatility, you just can't beat it.

I've never played the Shiva, but I think you'll be very happy with the Mod. Best amp going in my humble opinion. Let us know when you get it.

You're talking to a former Shiva, Eggy convert here.

Shiva's a great amp. But It's just not versatile enough. The egnater is super versatile with zero comprimise in tone. Can't wait for mine to show up!!!

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, the Shiva is a great amp. I LOVE the clean channel. But in terms of versatility, it's just not there for me personally. For that kind of dough I want more than just two sounds! So hopefully the Egnater will be all that everyone says it'll be!

I also need to pick up a cab too.

Just buy a Tourmaster 2x12. Low cost and sounds incredible! I have one now and 3 more Egg 2x12's on the way!

3 more on the way, nice! What are you going to do, 2 center dry, and then one wet left one wet dry?

Congrats. Come Labor Day, you'll be able to tell us all about it. :) :D

You made the right choice. +1 to what everyone else said. It just doesnt get better than the MOD 50.
