Ok... I have come to the realization that I need a Les Paul with a trem system. Be it a Floyd or a Kahler, I don't care, but I need a LP with a bar. I am so use to playing a Lester that it's becoming a pain to play other guitars. I love my Carvin, but the damn toggle switch is in the worst position possible. I like where the toggle and controls are laid out on a LP. So I guess the hunt is on...

Burny used to make one. ESP just came out with one as well.

really.... hmmm that might be an option. the other option that I was thinking about was a Peavey Wolfgang, but I don't know. I'm going to have to sell the Carvin to afford another guitar at this point, so lots of things to consider...

You can find Gibson Les Pauls with Kahlers that were made in the early or mid '80s, but they don't pop up too often at all. I'll keep an eye out for ya too.

Chris
Yeah, I've been looking for them on the bay for the past few days. I can go all Steve Clack style. :)

Just ditch the EMG's and that thing would be killer.

I remember seeing some of those back in the day, around the mid 80's

Does it have to be a Gibby? One of my buddies has an ESP eclipse (older one) he's selling that has a 60's neck profile, EMGs, Floyd, but bolt on neck. Actually, I think its a full mahogany body (no maple cap). It's a real deal ESP and not an LTD. Plays pretty sweet.

I could live with that easy Mark... whats the story on that? Neck Thru? Scale length? Radius?

Kage

Mahogany body, maple top, set mahogany neck with a bound ebony board, 24.75" scale, Gotoh Deluxe tuners, OFR, 22 XJ frets, EMG81/60, 2 volume, 2 tone, 3 way toggle.

I wish that those ESP ECs were "full thickness" models. I'd be all over them then.
