Those aren't the people who actually play in the band! It's just that the characters, or band members were based off those musicians.
It would be rediculous if they were the real musicians, but i've got a feeling all those guys wouldn't get along in the same room, hahaha

FWIW, the guitar player who plays the stuff is Mike Kenneally...

Axl can do anything, well anything but not be a dick!!!

Brendon Small plays everything and sings on the show soundtrack
He plays everything but the drums on the CDs
Mike Kennealy is part of the touring group.

Um, singer is clearly taken after Peter Steele and Glenn Danzig.

Umm....No it's corpseginder.

From wiki.

Small described Nathan as a "quarterback", and based his character's appearance and performance style on Cannibal Corpse vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher.[10]

Yep. Brendon Small is a genius. Does everything except drums, which are done by Gene Hoglan. The second album comes out next month, hopefully it's as funny (yet awesome) as the first! The only problem is, because the second album was getting wrapped up, season three is probably going to take longer to come out on DVD

If I'm having a really sh*tty day, all I need to do is crack open a beer and throw on an episode and I'm cheered up right away!

Before the show came out I read that Toki Wartooth was based on Fredrik Thordendal of Meshuggah. It also said Nathan Explosion was based on Peter Steele, but I can see more of Corpsegrinder connection.
