Ok i know people on this site are big audiophiles,so since i am now building a rack for all of my TV video stereo xbox stuff. What is a good tube amp for home theatres. I need a surround sound unit also. I guess i will need 3 amps, 1 for stero mode, 1 for rear channels, 1 for front and sub channels. I like the warmth of the tube sound so throw out those suggestions. Also what are some of the best tubes for clarity and warmth? Thanks!

I know I've been waving the flag here as of late for Rivera, but my power amp (TBR-5) was apparently sold to several movie theatres according to Paul Jr. I have never used it for this application but hey I have another use for it if I get out of playing again.

EDIT-Oh and as for your question about tubes it's 6550's all day IMO.

Mesa Baron
Mesa Tigris

Both are for high fi applications, if you can find them.

Must have a been a loud fucking movie.

I can't imagine how loud a home theatre could get with a TBR-5 or my TBR-2SL

It would probably interrupt the monitor and the response of the other speakers. Of course, knocking all of the speakers off of their mounts would be a given.
