OT- whats with Craigslist replies asking for address and phone #...

Selling a few items and all of a sudden I have 3 people saying they want to pay with a check and need my adress and # and will wait for the check to clear. I told them that I wanted their address and # first . All they need is to hack my credit card #...
 
I don't think that is any scammage. I think that is more of so they know WHERE to send the check to and your # so they can call you to confirm when it arrives/ask questions, etc.

Everyone I've dealt with on Craiglist, we've exchanged phone numbers and met face to face for the sale...had no problems.

But I don't live in Detroit, Buffalo or Harlem. :D
 
No I found the scam link for Craigslist they wanted to write bad cashiers checks but there is always a new scam going on Craigslist. It's hard to keep up with those scammers...http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams.html
