For those with modellers or direct setup with your amp, if you haven't looked into these yet, you should give them a shot. I've used Redwires for a long time and I give a slight edge to these. IMO, they are a little more harsh than the Redwires, but sound a little more organic. Kevin (the owner) says he picked specific mic configurations he thought would be best in a mix, which explains the bit of hair they have to them.

Could be the "new toy and I like it" phenomenon, but I've messed with them for a couple days now and I am really into them. There isn't as many options as the Redwires, which for some will be good and others not so much.

I only have the Celestion Blue, V30-1, and the H65. I'll pick up the Scumback 75 soon, maybe even today. He doesn't have a greenback yet, but that's on his list.

The Celestion Blue is a nice IR. It's brighter and thinner than the other speakers, but has a really nice ballsy tone and gets a great clean from it. The V30-1 is thick and ballsy. The H65 is interesting, but I'm not sure I'll be using it much.

Also, he offers a Nebula version. I've read a little about the Nebula and it's supposed to be better than a standard convolver, but I have not found any comparison clips. It's apparently fairly experience. Anyone know or have any experience with Nebula?

Rogie, you stated that you have used Redwirez for a long time. Presumably you have a large collection.

Why the need for more? Isn't a few hundred enuff?

We should all come to a gentleman's agreement that effective immediately, we use the gear we have, nothing more. If you want to buy a new piece of gear, you must sell off an old piece first. And you have to wait 6 months prior to buying the new gear so the GAS has a chance to wear off.

They are more than I'll ever use and I tend to prefer the Ownhammer's sound.

Besides, they are far cheaper for a whole set that it takes for someone to pay for your internet access that graces us with your lovely internet presence.

Good luck on the gentlemen's agreement.
