Ozzy with Joe Holmes Japan TV 1996

Joe has great stage presence . Caught Ozzy shows with him . 2 with zakk .
 
He rips but he's playing ahead of the band here in spots. Never liked his sloppy look on this tour though. Was a good show and I preferred it to the time i saw Ozz with Zakk if I am honest because it was squealie overload with " Lord Zakk"

oh yeah as a player yes, but he was never fully in invested into Ozzys band so in terms of songwriting there is nothing to base it on .. Bob on the other hand

Randy did that as well, on Tribute he was ahead all the time, but because his guitar was mixed loud it worked ..... agree, always hated Joes on stage look ... put on some stage clothes bro haha

Yeah I remember the ozzmosis tour in Memphis, he was like Phil Collen except long dark hair. No shirt. Meth Skinny. Sounded good back then. I remember going to Platinum Plus afterwards; for those that know… 😁. I almost got killed there one night; and just like that, I never went to another strip club.

The guy looks almost like a carcass out there.. at least eat a sandwhich. When he stood in for Jason Becker on DLR's Lil Aint Enough tour, he at least looked the part.

I think thats the thing he lacked. Compared to Randy, Jake, and Zakk, he didn't have good stage presence imo. But I thought he had a better live tone than any of them, and was/is a rippin player!! To be fair, he played with Ozzy in the late 90s when Ozzy was competing with grunge and nu metal, and Joe didn't have the best image on stage. Baggy shorts, etc. I love his playing though.

I loved his image . He was just a guitar player . Didn’t give a shit about nothing else . But ya if you enjoyed the 80s more I can see why you feel that way
