What's my best options? Tuki? Need one for a EVH combo for moving.

I use a Tuki cover.. have had one with my Splawn head since 2008. Still fits like a glove and has protected the amp all these years. of course not the same level of protection as an ATA case, however transporting the amp in my

I used to own Tuki covers for my 1992 blue vinyl Marshall 6101 combo amp and matching blue vinyl 1912 1x12 closed back cab. The problem with Tuki covers is that they use a foam padding that in a few years, starts to deteriorates inside the nylon amp cover. What happens is that this black dust falls out from inside the cover and falls all over your amp & cabinet which if it falls into your amp, melts like plastic, creating a sticky goo on your equipment. As a result of this happening, I got tired of vacuuming the black foam dust and wiping off the melted sticky black foam goo off of my amp & cabinet with naptha, that I ended up throwing away both of my Tuki covers due to the black foam that deteriorates inside the Tuki nylon amp covers.

I have a couple of the Custom Amp vinyl covers and they work well with my combo amps. They're not as durable due to the vinyl material they're made from and lacks any kind of padding, but are adequate and affordable.

For padded waterproof nylon amp covers with high quality padding and custom storage pockets, that doesn't deteriorate and turn into black dust that falls all over your amp & cabinets, I have purchased & recommend Studio Slips. They're a little more expensive, but the high quality of their padded amp covers with custom pockets is far superior to Tuki covers.

Thank you for the post....yeah, sounds slim if that happens to the padding. I think I had a studio slip on my bogner 2x12 years ago and I liked it a lot. Thanks!

Yeah...damn...like quoted $188 for one shipped...that's a bit much for me. I'll keep looking.

I'll add my +1 to Studio Slips. I've had a bunch of their covers over the years (the clamshell gig bag is excellent), and they are great to deal with.
