I may be mistaken but I believe Ty's tone has alot to do with the preamp that was in the Fender Strat Elite that he used and (again, if I'm not mistaken) that he had it removed from the guitar and made into a unit/pedal/preamp that he runs thru.

BTW, Out of the Silent Planet, Gretchen Goes to Nebraska, Faith, Hope & Love and Kings X are sonic works of art. If stranded on a island, I could exist listening to Goldilox, Summerland, Over My Head, It's Love and Lost in Germany.

The pre amp from the Elite was removed and attempted to be used when he went to Zion. It didn't work it was noisy. I have that pre amp. I will look on my amp Electa...but I am on the road. So later this week I will post a picture.

Once the elite left the equation the staring point was gone. The lab also was a major piece. The two put together were heavenly!

Nick is offically off my list...your T/D will be shipping back since you even asked about the L5 and you now must go buy Gretchen and listen to it at least 5 times.
