I'm just curious what you use to output the Axetrak to?
I am using a cheap behringer mixer, and although it sounds great, I am wondering if a better mixer would make a difference (or some other device).

And I will say it again, the Axetrak is one of my best gear purchases ever :D

Sup!!

I use the axetrak directly into my E-mu 1820 sound card. The E-Mu comes with built in Mic pres and it cuts out the need for a mixer! Congrats on the axetrak! I love that sucker!!!

My EMU doesn't have that option :(
Do you think a better quality mixer would make a difference?
It's also handy when i just want to play, and not record.

It all depends on the mic pres in the mixer and the signal to noise ratio of the mixer. If you bought a mixer that has better mic pre's and has better specs then yes, it will make a difference. That said, another route you could take is to keep the mixer and invest in a mic preamp. Lots of options!! The easiest for me was just to get a soundcard that had them built in!
