I fixed up this amp for a buddy of mine the other day and DAMN. I haven't played a 5150 in probably 8 years or so. Killer.

I have a 5150 that I posted locally. I asked for $550 and I just put 4 new power amp tubes and 2 new preamp tubes in it. I got low ball offers so I took it down and plugged it up. I'm glad I changed my mind.

Hah! I fixed this amp for a friend of mine and then I was on the hunt for one! Surprisingly there were very few out there. I feel like in the past you could always hop on Craigslist or something and see them for $600 all day long but there were none to be found. Also, I was being picky since I wanted a 5150 II vs the 6505+. Something about the big "5150" looks awesome to me. Snagged one this morning though! Figured they're affordable enough and it's a cool complement to my Friedman. Thanks for the kind words dudes!

The lead channel on the 5152 is hard to beat, for me it kills some amps that cost double the price. Cleans and crunch are ok but it's high gain tones are excellent, throw a tubescreamer in front , level up gain down. Metal riff machine !
