Peavey Customer Support:

Wow, what a hell of a thing. I emailed Peavey a few weeks ago about having them send me replacement filter caps for my 5150 and it took them 3 weeks to respond. When they finally responded they said they would send me a schematic so that I could call the parts department and reference the part numbers so they could send me replacements. OK, easy enough, I can read a schematic and having one is always helpful as it helps me to understand what makes my piece of gear tick. Great.

Few minutes later I get an email with an attachment containing the 5150 footswitch schematic. Confused, I email them back and specify that the parts that I am concerned with are found in the actual amp head itself and not in the footswitch. At this point, I outright specify that I am needing the original 5150/6505 schematic and NOT the II/+ version schematic because I don't know how detached the person I am emailing is to the original email inquiry. Always better to play it safe. A few hours later they email me the 5150II/6505+ schematic... Alright, now I'm frustrated because I feel like I'm being given the runaround. I should contact them again and ask once more in plain english, but I don't really feel like being a complete asshole, after all these people are supposedly extending a gratuitous gesture towards me.

What should I do RT?

Thanks Steve. I actually had that schematic already saved to my comp, but I figured if I got a schem sent to me direct from peavey that it might be a different one than that and there would be no question or miscommunication, like if someone private had made that particular schematic the part numbers might not line up with Peavey's copy and so on.

i have the schematic direct from peavey. i have schematics directly from them for the jsx, 5150 II, and 5150 . if you want there schematic pm me your address and i will send it to you.

BTW, i love there amps, but the service totally blows
