Hey

So I have a few HP Specials, they are essentially Wolfgangs with a few updates/revisions

When I go to order Bare Knuckle pickups, what do I need to consider?
It has a Floyd, but I think it may be 50mm (?)
short leg vs long leg?

I'm thinking Juggernauts, I have them in my Gutierrez and love them for modern aggression. The neck pickup is supposedly based off the VHII but tweaked to match the bridge, so that sounds perfect...anybody try this or something similar in a Wolfgang/HP?
I'm not after the Brown sound, just something more modern for hi gain stuff with decent cleans and occasional lighter crunch

The guitar has zebra pickups...I think I would like to stay with that, as the trim on the body accents the zebra. However, the zebra on my HPs looks a little closer to tan, as compared to the white/offwhite colors I usually see on zebra pickups on the BK site. Is there a tan/black zebra option? Or is my guitar a regular zebra and my eyes are playing tricks?

Thanks in advance

Well I have 3 HPs, so I could be interested in trying the Aldrich.
The Axe Palace guy at SSO told me it should be 53, but I'm almost certain the stock bridge is a 50 (?), similar to the neck.
I actually like my current neck pickup, but I don't want the PUs to look and sound mismatched. Do you think the Aldrich bridge could slide right in?
Cosmetically, Zebra white seems to different slightly on the shade of off white too....
Does the Aldrich have a fast attack? HP stok sounds great, but it is a bit "soft" on the attack, especially on the cherry which has a big block. That "soft" attack actually sounds decent for standard E rock, but I like the fast attack of BKs for detuning aggressive rock/metal

Any wolfgang Aldrich players out there?

Man, the actual Peavey Wolfgang came with some great pickups, I really liked the pickups that came in it. You should check ebay to see if there is a pair of those floating around.

Yes, at one time I had a Wolfgang Deluxe along with my Black HP. The pickups were actually quite similar. I like them a lot for rock and may keep an HP stock, but I feel the need to get some BKs for that aggressive edge. I am a BK fanboi

The actual string spacing at the bridge pickup is 51mm. Stock pickups are 50mm.
Just remember you will have to cut/file the mounting tabs as the peavey uses the same pointy shaped feet as dimarzio.
Regular square feet wont fit. You also want short legs.

Aldrich isn't super tight, but far from soft sounding!
