Buddy let me borrow his amp. This thing is a less noisy 5150 with a clean channel!

Tough part is you can't even access the Crunch channel without the footswitch. Lame.
 
I just got an Ultra 212. I dont even play my 5150 anymore...

The clean on this amp is very nice. To me, its in between a Roland JC120 and a Fender. It kind of has that "Plain?" clean tone of the JC, and almost as much warmth as a Blackface fender. :thumbsup: (Just my opinion)

I dont have a footswitch so I cant access the crunch channel but theyre supposed to be really awesome. :thumbsdown:

And the ultra channel is great. Less noisy than a 5150, and slightly tighter/aggressive to my ears. It sits in between a 5150 and a Mesa Mark III for me. Closer to the mark tone. :rock:

I managed to get mine for $190, awesome deal. :D

Now I just need to sell my 5150... :lol: :LOL:
 
This is why Peavey = Metal. I know there are many other great metal amps but for the price point you can not beat a Peavey.

This is too funny, your video was one of the main reasons why I bought mine. I had no idea you are on here. Thanks for the video. I love my ultra plus!!

Can you share some of your ultra settings?
