I'm deep in heart of a pedalboard project and I changed course in the middle and decided I wanted to have stereo board. That is how it'll be used 99% of the time. originally picked up a Boss ES5 with a plan to go mono 4 cable with half of the Es5 dedicated to the front of the amp and half to the fx loop. Here is simple drawing I put together...not exact but general that will give you an idea of what I was trying to do before I decided I wanted stereo:
What I want to do is this same concept with 2 amps. Using the FX loops of both for delays, reverb and chorus - 4 cable method on both amps. The Es5 does has no stereo loops or outs. It only has 5 loops so I don't think it will be capable of achieving this goal. My question is - will a Musicom Lab EFX VI get me where I need to be? Real-estate on the board is tight and its bigger by only an inch both L x W so it won't affect the plan as much as say an ES8 which is 3-4 inches longer. The additional loops in the Musicom are a plus as well.
Not trying to cheap out but don't want to break the bank either. Want to get it right. Is the Musicom the best option to go stereo with dual amps in 4 cable? or is there a better option? Never realized just hope deep this pedalboard rabbit hole can go.
