Tube Noob here (hey that rhymes   )
On My VH4S, the 1st Tube has a little red light underneath indicating that there is a tube fault. So 3 questions
1 Can I still play the amp with 3 tubes and not damage it?
2 Can I just buy the exact same EL34 brand name and product number etc since it is biased for those Tubes
3 Should I just bring it to my shop and have it all rebiased and re tubed. (my guess is if one went they all are gonna go soon, since the amp is used)

It is a VH4S but has Ruby EL34's and was biased to that.

Thanks guys

The first step would be to get a set of spare fuses for the amp, then replace the blown tube-fuse and run it again with the old tubes. Sometimes during transport the tubes get a bit lose, which can cause sparks and boom the fuse blows. Just try again.

If the fuse should blow again you could either tell your tube seller the specs of the three good tubes (your bias conditions), then he could select one, which would fit those specs, or simply get a fresh new quartet and have the bias set for you by somebody who is experienced doing that.

There are instructions to bias a VH4 on this site (sticky).

Noob question again, so besides all new tubes which I ordered already and am going to have my shop bias em at 60-70mA per PAIR of tubes, I need to get a fuse also? Where can I get one and what exact type for the VH4S? Thanks guys!!

Not just one, but a couple . . .
250mA or 0.25A fuse, slo blo, euro sized (the smaller ones). Your electro/electronic shop in your town or http://www.mouser.com

See sticky "before starting any amp dead threads" . . .

Also order a spare for your mains then . . .

Ok thanks man. Just never happened to me before, and have not read the stickys :)
