It came with a two button footswitch, C & M; very basic looking, but super-solid. The cable affixed to it had broken already! It had started becoming very touchy - the slightest movement would cause a break in the cable to select Master 2, but it wouldnt engage.

picture wiggling the cable and having Master 2 switch on and off at the rate one would move the break.

Now, is this covered under any sort of warranty? I was going to install a 1/4'' TRS jack on the channel selector so i can unplug the cable during transit and etc. I opened the box up and snipped the cable, but before i drilled the chassis out, I just wanted to make sure Senor Diezel was unable to assist.

Why don't you offer a footswitch that is independent of the cable? I foresaw this problem happening when I bought the amp. I use Einstein all the time, and the switch gets packed up just as much as the amp. Currently I am using a Vox footswitch, and it feels like I am stepping on a toy compared to the OG switch. Its ironic though; the heavy-duty one broke way faster.

I am sorry to hear of your footswitch issue. Where are you located?

I thought I had a footswitch for the Einstein that went bad, but I wiggled the 1/4 inch male end (I know that sounds kinky!  :aww: ), and it started working again. Mine is three years old. It just needs to be cared for properly to keep it working.

If the cord gets folded the same way, it gets a "memory" and the wires start to lose contact where they are attached. If the jack is bent near the end of it's molded section, it could stop working. Mine did the same thing you are describing.
