I finally received my Herbert today from UPS. I opened the box and saw that it did not include a power cord to plug into the wall. Is this normal? Does the amp not come with a power cord?

My VH4 came without, too. But the shop I bought my baby send me one. Just ask

Mine came without cable as well... but you can find it in almost everywhere... any computer store can have some, electronic stores, etc.. you can even stole your computer cable for the hebert ;).

I know a power cord can be found anywhere, its just weird that im paying so much for an amp and they dont include a power cord. isnt it supposed to come with a cord?

I actually contacted the dealer i purchased it from and he was surprised as well. he said that none of the 4 herberts they recently received had a power cord. either way, he is sending me one so its not a non-issue.

We ship the amps with powerchords in Europe.
The distributors worldwide are instructed to
put an power cable depending on the country
in the package.

Where are You located ?

I didn't get a power chord with my Einstein either, and the guy at Guitar Center said I would get that and get a footswitch, which I did not even know existed.

The footswitch is included !
What´s going on in USA ?

Peter ;)

Peter, is there any way I can get a footswitch and a power cable? I've bugged the people at Guitar Center unceasingly and they still haven't done anything.

Mike, obviously somebody between Salwender and you screwed up and left the power cable out. Just get one at Radio Shack, it's not Mr. Diezel's fault in this case.

Thanks for everybody's comments, but like i said in my previous post. I contacted the dealer and he is sending me a power cord so it's been taken care of.

Now all im waiting for now is my cab to come in and that should be in a week or so.

BTW, why does the einstein come with a footswitch but the herbert and vh4 dont?

Because the VH-4 and I believe the Herbert have integral MIDI Controllers whilst Einstein does not. --I think it is assumed that people who buy the VH-4 and the Herbert already have a MIDI controller at their disposal.

The Herbert (same for VH4, just different LEDs) needs a midi controller (which some of the customers already have) to turn on and off the blue LEDs. Putting it into the standard Herbert package would raise the price (or otherwise prevent Peter's travelling around Japan) :D
