Peter, or anyone for that matter, can you hear Herbie in Nergal's new album??

“We use Mesa Boogie Road King, Sammatone and Diezel Herbert. First two amps
are used by Behemoth live so we are bringing some of this live vibe to
the record too. Diezel is there just to spice up the overall sound…”

nobody likes them polska guys ?? too heavy or occult for you ??

It´s nice ........ not to heavy but not my beat

i like them, the new album kicks ass, and i of course like that Behemoth is now using Diezel too!

There's a guy on TGP, and some other forums called Nergalled who says he's a touring professional in the death metal circuit. Could it be the guy from Behemoth ?

Well, Nergal is the "scenename" of the guy... I dont know if the "real guy" has time to spend/waste on guitar forums... I know he travels alot and his girlfriend is a top model or something

maybe it's just somebody who tries to be cool ??

I spent the summer sharing a bus with Behemoth. Those dudes are awesome and we had a blast!

Nergal is his satanic name, in fact hes the only guys who's real name I never actually got!

Nergal used the road king and the Sommatone outlaw this summer, the other guitarist was using a laboga mr hector. I got to play the mr hector and the sommatone, i like the sommatone better and strangely enough its built 15 min from my house in NJ in a small boutique shop.

Its so odd that there was Diezel on the record and he and I never spoke about it as i love my Diezel!

we blasted Evangelion all summer long! I even got my face painted one night by nergal after seeing the newest banned video for the first time. So f'n evil!

Great dudes , great band!

This thread wins! Behemoth is one of my all-time favorite bands. Evangelion is an absolute epic. I had no idea they used the Diezel on the record. The guitars sound great on the record, but the outstanding drum sound certainly helps compliment it. Very cool to see other Behemoth fans here. Their album 'Demigod' really inspired me, though my own band sounds very different.

Cool to see fellow 7-stringers here too Stef! I'm currently rocking four custom shop Bernie Rico Jr Vixen 7s w/ Bare Knuckle Pickups (I'm a dealer for them as well as Diezel) as well \m/

Side note: Check out the new Immortal "All shall fall"...they're using Diezel afaik too.

This x10000000.

I've got an Ibanez 2027xvv. Pickups are still stock, but I'll be looking to Nick to change that for me this Christmas :)

Well, what would you suggest? I'm lookin to get All Shall Perish/Unearth type tones, and I'll be playing through a Bogner Uberschall. I believe we've discussed this before, but I was playing an ENGL back then

I would recommend the Bare Knuckle Painkiller first, ceramic Nailbomb second for bridge pickup consideration. The PK is extremely tight, aggressive, defined, and brutal as hell. Its upper midrange 'snarl' and crunch is the perfect compliment for the mahogany/rosewood's mellow, low-mid girth. With the PK there is no mud or flub, just attack, harmonics, and roar. In mahogany it has a lot of balls too. Great balance., especially given that the Bogner is pretty massive sounding in its own right.

The NB would be a good choice if you wanted something a little darker and not quite as hot.

For the neck, I'd go with the matching PK neck model. Great leads and clean tones, and matches up perfectly with the bridge. Plus you save a few bucks getting the set versus two separate models.

If you have any questions, or would like to discuss this further feel free to ask away. I enjoy chatting about this kind of thing. You can also contact me directly if you'd like, or if you want more information on the Painkillers you can check out my website (work in progress but just posted something on the PK7 set earlier today). Look in the 'pickups-->bare knuckle-->in stock now' section :)

Excellent! I was thinking the painkiller set would be the perfect option as well. I remember a thread on ss about a BKP announcement for 7s. Did that ever happen?

The announcement I made on the sevenstring forum was in regard to BKP's new color options on their 6-strings. However there WILL be some exciting 7-string news soon, most likely covers and perhaps a single coil. Been working on it with Tim over there for a while now. Something should happen, just a matter of time.

Cool. I went back and found the thread I was talking about (I couldn't locate it initially). So let me ask you this, do you know why they can do color options for the 6s and 8s, but not the 7s? Seems puzzling to me.
