Hi ,Peter, I tryed twice to write you on your email peterdiezel@diezelamplification.com , but maybe, it? the wrong email, or email was lost..

I have software compability problems between my VH4 and my new custommade midifootcontroller..


I had used old version of Voodoo Lab Ground Control, and there was no problem with
it. But I sold it, cause I need more knobs on midipedal, and one custom
manufacturer here in Czech, made for me bigger footcontroller. But the
problem is, that the new controller works with my other gear well ( Line6
Echo Pro, rack effect), but when I tried to store a program change by
Store button, the VH4 doesn´t remember it. I tried all possible
combinations of the midi channels ( omni mode and single channel mode), so
the problem is not here. I think, that the software, that this custom
manufacturer uses, doesn´t fit at all, with the software in VH4. I doesn´t
mean it, like it is the fault of software in VH4, cause, it used to work
with old controller at all, but can you please advise me, what to do? Or
what kind of software is used in VH4, cause, the manufacturer told me, he
can adapt his software to VH4´s, but he need to know the VH4 software
details, he told me. If it would be problem to tell us details about VH4
software, because of your copyright, I understand, no problem at all. In
this case, I´ll give the midicontroller back to the manufacturer, wanting
back my money, cause I is his product fault at all.

Is it possoble to ask you by your email abut the software details, manufacturer think, he is able to adapt his sfotware than..

is your custom-board running via phantom power? is there a led or a display installed, which indicates if the board is powered or not?

There is not a problem of working peadal with another gear, it works with my Line 6 Echo Pro (rack version), it switches it. I run pedal via phantomower from my VH4, but VH4, doesn´t remember my footcontroller. When I set the change on pedal, Echo pro change and if I have set for example the first channel on VH4 and set the store button twice now, and than I switch manualy on VH4 to second channel and try than again set on bedal board back, ..only Echo pro switches , and VH4 stayes on second channel .. VH4 doesn´t remember the program change

i was asking you if you run the board via phantom power, because the vh4 maybe does not supplie the power through the right pin (the pin your board receives the power). it is the case with my midi board, so i had to change the pins on my midi cable. but as the echo pro switches, the problem has to be somewhere else. you might be right that there is a software incompatibility.
