THE SCHMIDT!!!!!
You see, I began my search of THE amp a few years ago....and the schmidt could really be the one...but it seems that it has changed a lot since the beginning of its creation...
so basically, what I know is that it is an el34 30w head, that it has reverb and that it is more or less voiced like a tweaked plexi.....
so....will it have a fx loop?
and is it a single channel? a two channel amp? Ive heard something about a hi/lo switch......will it be controlled by a footswitch?
and well......last questions:
when is it going to be released?
what will be the price range?1000/1300 euros?
Thanks a lot.

2-Channel, Class A, 30 Watts, Clean and Crunch - that's all I know.

Hi!
Played the new Schmidt yesterday! It´s still a prototype but finally very very close to the serial production model.

The facts: 2 channels, 2 tone stacks, 2 EL34´s (SED´s), Reverb per channel, boost, loop (controlable from serial to parallel), .........

channel one: awesome clean, close to very good boogies or fenders, just rev., tone stack and volume.

channel two: unbelievable awesome, from right between the eyes to more bluesy sounds, rev., tone stack, gain, vol., boost.....

Reverb sounds very very good, a cathedral´s no problem!

Power? Don´t worry! That "Schmiddy" ist very loud! (I still can hear it now!)

I used a lower gain setting and turned the vol. of the guitar a bit down: You´re getting (with my settings in that case) a 100% Malcolm sound! Yery fast, very directly, and about 10cm "before" the cabinet! (I hope ya know what I mean!) You can see the strings in the cab! :D :D :D Then turn the vol. of the guitar up, and you´re getting that brutal old Angus Young sound, the old albums, when he still had that Autralian bite in his sound!

I love that amp, and Peter can be proud to have it done like it is now! It´s got about 40W, and like said: It is loud!

When you change the settings to more gain, and a bit less Volume, you can also get bit smoother sounds! The amp is always reacting very fast and with great dynamics and wonderful clipping!

To me that´s a "Street rock monster"! Plug your guitar in, and give that bastard some Tatts, Rhino Bucket, or what else, and you´ll start crying!    On the other side same quality when going more blues or softer ways!

Hey Peter! I want a 8 x EL34 "Schmiddy"! (I know, I can´t get enough.................) :D

Nice day, cheers: "ACY"

shit.........seems like I'll have to spend money soon.... :D
By the way, Ive seen several pictures of the proto......and Ive got to say that the last one wasnt the most beautiful I have to say....it was white and the picture was taken at the musikmesse..
the old one

well after thinking about it....it looks quite good too....

NICE! we finally have a Diezel blues/jazz monster!! ...............not that the einstein/vh4/herbert weren't INCREADIBLY good at those task, but you know what I mean!

About the looks of it.....well I REALLY REALLY like the White/black tolex combination....(I'm a sucker for white gear) but I honestly don't like the black panel...reminds me of Mesa Boogie's ugly black pannels  (Even though I like Mesa Boogie, they're kind of ugly amps)

But If Peter does something about the Logo, (cooler looking logo like all the other models, I guess it could work out just like it is.

I really like the amp, and I'm sure it would sounds killer !!! maybe... one day.... (with a 2x12 would be amazing).

What I'm also agree with is that the logo... well, is not good enough for the amp... it has not the level of other amps ;)... MAKE IT BIGGER !!! and well, if yuo are going to p ut the logo over the white background... why don you make the logo with inverse colors ??? (black logo with white inner lines/edges??) It would be amazing for that amp. ;)

congratulations again... BUT AS ALWAYS.. this thread worth NOTHING WITHOUT CLIPS !!! C'mon, record something with it... clips clips clips !!!

dude, this looks really good !!!! sent this to peter, he has to see it, works great ! :)

Ive got another question....
I m actually planning to buy also a overdrive/boost pedal because I cannot always carry my amp and it is always useful to have a good pedal .....
As Im really interested in buying the diezel schmidt...and as Im hesitating between the xotic BB and xotic BB+....this is my question:
What type of boost has been put on the schmidt?is it a pure clean boost which only increases the volume? will it make the sound dirtier? etc.....
cause if it only makes the sound louder......the BB+ will lose its interest as I would use the second channel of this pedal as a clean boost...
thanks

(Hope Ive made myself clear.....my english isnt always great...)

very nice clip!

Great amp, great cab and by the way:

I hope you liked the guitar.... ;)
