I found a pair of 6L6 laying around, they're Mesa Boogie's......I took em out of my MEsa F-50 combo when I had it... is it ok to use them on my VH4? (they were workign great)

For the VH4 you need a matched quartet because it has only one bias pot. But other than that 6L6 will work fine in the VH4.

alright, I think I formulated the question in a wrong way, although I got the answer.
what I meant to ask was, if I could use Mesa/Boogie branded tubes with my VH4.

Yes, tubes are tubes. Diezel amps will work with every 6L6 available because of the adjustable bias.
