Hello everybody,

I'll try to explain my problem even if my english is not very good.
On channel 1, mode 2 or 3 (or channel 2), I have a harsh and muddy sound when playing E ou A string, with neck pickup on a Les Paul wich deliver a bassy sound. The sound is cutted and clipped.
With bridge pickup (less bassy sound), the problem doesn't occurred.
I notice no problem on chanel 1 mode 1 with clean sound.
It seems to be a problem only with bass frequencies on overdrive channels.

Could it be a problem with preamp tubes or with power ones ?

Thanks by advance. :aww:

I think you might want to look at the guitar first, the fact that you have no problem with the bridge pickup makes me believe their might be a problem with the electronics.

The problem is not the guitar, wich works perfectly on other amps.
And I tested several guitars on my Einstein, wich gives me all the same problem when I use neck pickup with lots of basses.
That's why I think my Einstein has a problem, and I wonder if it cames from a preamp or power tube, or if it's more serious...
