the ECC83 for the V1 position you recommended me

MY GOD, this thing is unreal....

the cleans improved by 50%
texas mode sounds like I took a little blanket off of it
Mega and Ch.2 sound incredibly rich, yet there's still A LOT of gain and punchiness, and surprisingly the gain is VERY Tight still

how can this be? I was expecting an overall improvement on the clean/texas, but I was honestly ready to give up some gain/balls/tightness in the mega/ch.2 but  has not happened! :D

so, now tell us which one it is, because i have to change preamp tubes - and also want some extra-magic! :D

It's an ECC83 for V1

btw... here's a quick clip I made in Garage Band

Sorry for the not so exciting playing and crappy Garage Band drums :D

the gain was at 10:00! ch.2

double tracked (two guitars left with the 421, and two guitars right SM57)

Bass played through the Einstein too and Mic'd with the SM57

yeah, thats the normal type of tube, but which brand is it?

Hmmm.... that's good to know .... I have a bunch of preamp tubes around (incl. EH ones). Should try this out. The other one which I'll put in as soon as I get a cab will be a "truly vintage" Siemens ECC83, well burnt in with my Dynacord combo for the last decade :-)
