Peter got today the final version of his individual "Diezel"-Guitar. After the Frankfurt music fair the guitar spent still some weeks with Tim Mills in england, got a slight chance in PU's (before "Nailbombs" now "cold sweat", thanks for your input, Tim) and sounds now...
It's up the Peter to evaluate. But his smile allready says a lot...

The guitar looks really nice... although I would have done something different with the headstock, something different, (that headstock looks too "typical" for this guitar), something a little more pointed would have been better for me... following the D shapes :(.

In any case, great guitar, best pickups ever :D Tim is the man !

Congrats, and dont forget to post clips !!! :gethim:

Congrats Peter
It was about time you get something back instead of only giving
I'll bet that this guitar will serve as testing guitar for all the Diezel amps.
Rock on Peter

Nice guitar, and I bet it sounds great, however I think it would be a lot cooler if it was made from cast/polished aluminum like a Veleno.

I stopped testing at 10:30 pm because the police (friends of mine)
bet me to turn the volume a bit

Hey Peter,

I've got to ask, what difference did you hear going from the Nailbombs to the Cold Sweats. I use a Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell but have been thinking of a change, I keep thinking about selling my Rebel and trying another BK pickup, but back out because I can't make up my mind. Interestingly enough after talking to Tim those two pickups are the ones he said I might want to try, more specifically a customized Nailbomb and a Cold Sweat but I'm curious how the stocks stack up with each other.

Later on,

-Nick

Hi,

Rebel Yell, Nailbomb and Cold sweat are completely different. Cold Sweat with ceramic magnets and 14k is more the "rocker", very straight, but well defined. I'm a huge fan of nailbomb, AlNiCO, 16k, more "organic" than the CS and it fits MY way of playing and my imagination of sound. RY is allready with its 8.3k neck a completely other philosophy and great for nice rhythm/lead switches. If you are not happy with the RY and you are looking for a real "Rock"-solution: CS, when you have a really hard attack in your hand (like f.ex. Peter Stapfer): Nailbomb. In the end it is a matter of taste, guitar, way of playing,...

Cheers
