The carbon fiber on the front of those amps is sick as hell. What a clean rig.

Interesting he runs chorus in front of the amps, although in a W/DW setup.

the biggest surprise for me was the Fortin modded TS9 and the fact that he is still playing with JPs

I wonder why he is using the 2290, 2290p, Axe III, and SDE-3000EVH all for delay. A lot of redundancy.

I did always wonder how he ran through the Axe III without a mixer without the latency bugging him. I know it bugs me, and I am no where as good of a player, lol.

Getting the camera in close in the last few seconds, I sense Ola wished he could've gotten a few more minutes with the guitars too.

Because there is no appreciable latency with the Axe-Fx, especially if you’re only using post effects without amp, cab, or drive pedal modeling like how JP does. The Axe III when run like that adds about 1.5 ms, or the equivalent of stepping 1.5 ft back from the speakers from where you normally stand. Nobody on earth can detect that.

When I use my Axe II or FM3, I can tell. Maybe not the latency, but definitely the change in dynamics.

I run my Axe II with a parallel mixer in the same way for this reason. I have a similar preset where I just have 4 blocks in parallel.

His tech answered all these questions for the most part. He's definitely running the Axe III through a mixer to preserve the dry signal.

He's not using the 2290P or SDE-3000EVH live, he's just "messing around with them, still trying to work them into the system". That probably means they are product placement.

The 2290 rack is used for his modulation - specifically for the 7ms delay for the spatial widening thing, and some flanger and chorus sounds.

He's running the AxeFx3 for his actual delays and harmonizers... all effects in parallel, ran through the mixer.

I’m playing the first 6 dream theatre albums a lot lately
Lots of great tunes there, imo the best albums are the firsts up to Metropolis (including A Change of Seasons) and then Black Clouds & Silver Linings.

Awake and Falling into Infinity have a special place in my heart.

Cool video. I’ve always wanted to try one of his sig guitars but they’re so expensive. Then I see those racks of them. :inlove:

I have an older Majesty 6; it's the easiest to play, and most versatile guitar I own. I plan to get one of the new Majesty 6 guitars eventually.

I have many types of guitars, brands, models, etc., but if I was going to just focus on guitars I really need, a Majesty would eliminate many guitars I have. My current fav guitar is also an EBMM; I'm late to the brand; the EBMM Kaizen 6, not as versatile or easy to play as the Majesty, but it does it's own thing, hard to describe, but you either love it or hate it.

Majesty are very small guitars too, which was surprising to me. Before I got one I never thought about the size.

IMO
