Pickup help for my ibanez through my herbert..?

So long story short... Someone gave me an ibanez s-series guitar for free and i want to swap out the pickups.
What do you fellow DIEZEL guys think i should put in it to make the herbert rip on leads?!
Bridge___
Mid___
Neck___

Im usually a duncan guy but im really curious as to what you all think...

FYI i hate bright tone...I like a dark,punchy, creamy tone... Kinda/Vai'ish/E.Johnson'y
 
I kid you not, but my favorite dark pickup through a Herbert is a DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge.
I'm kind of in the same boat. After 23 years I have grown tired of the stock pickups in my 87 RG550. :D
I must have gotten a really good set because most other Ibanez PU's sound TERRIBLE...
 
Hey, I have an Ibanez PGM30 as my main guitar and have a set of Bareknuckle Holydivers in it.
One of the coolest pickups for lead sounds through Herbert imo :thumbsup:
Also it does not sound very bright, depending on the pu-high.
 
Motor City Hell Baby will fatten it up without sacrificing clarity. increased clarity in fact.
