What’s a good humbucker to fatten/thicken up an axe with an alder body, maple neck and stainless frets? Something hot. No Afwayu. Great pup, but I already have two and wanna try something different.
I’ve got an Iron Man in a LP and I love it. Really hard to find used and I’d like to try something else out.braintheory":kiqzbx1r said:Jim Wagner Iron Man or Dunable Big Foot. The latter has both the biggest and tightest bottom end I’ve heard in any passive pickup. The Iron Man is also tight and more midrangey and juicy and cleans up nicer, so I like the Iron Man better for single note type riffs and leads and the Big Foot for huge chugs and overall heaviness
What did you not like about the X2N? I've been curious about trying one. Any chance you could compare it to the Duncan Distortion, Black Winter, or Dimebucker?swamptrashstompboxes":1sefh2r8 said:The X2N is the worst pickup I have ever played. I installed it on and off of like four guitars until I decided it was udder trash.
I like the TZ and crunch lab a lot in my ibanez prestige guitars.
