Pink taco boosts?

I've owned a couple of Tacos and struggled to get that 2nd ch boost for solos. Many including Dave F suggests a clean boost in the loop but I need gain and volume boost for my solos,.. ideas?
Also I notice many amps pair well with certain boosts due to their voicing. OD's into front that have worked with your Taco?
Lastly v1 or 2 Taco? I was convinced the PT 2 was Dave's best version but it can be a little harsh (depending on drive used) It seemed to have the most Kerrang

since no one else has commented (yet)...i'll just throw out my favorite strategy for consideration and maybe it'll get people riled up lol

suhr koko boost (some people swear by v1 but i can't tell the difference) or the friedman buxom boost in front of channel two. i use them with a bunch of daves amps and some vintage marshalls modded by dave (none are pink tacos unfortunately).

firstly both are super clean and don't color the tone. plenty of gain/boost and tone shaping on hand. buxom boost has the added benefit of being able to take the pedal eq out of the picture if you'd like.

order from GC, try em both with your amp and you've got 45 days to send em packing if they don't work for ya...just my 2 cents. looking forward to seeing what you end up with (y)

V2 is one of the best of the Friedman line, IMO, for tight, aggressive Marshall roar. I boosted mine with an SD-1, or a Zakk Wylde OD. It kills for thrash metal. V2 is a whole different animal than V1. More gain, more aggressive, more traditional Marshall. More high mid focused, brighter, and just plain meaner.

It’s been a while and I no longer have the amp but I used the Tonefreak Naked OD which paired perfectly with it. I bet the MXR fat sugar would also pair well.

What’s so special about pink taco mod?

What’s so special about pink taco mod?

it's not the hairy hot dog mod?

i don't follow the question unless you're just making a joke...i only think a pink taco model exists, there's no pink taco mod as far as i'm aware

You just said “none are pink tacos unfortunately” after mentioning Marshalls modded by Dave and I thought maybe there is a mod too.

That was my conclusion when I owned the v2. It got kicked to the curb when I got the JEL 20 due to needing a ch 2 for solo (Vol/Gain boost)
I do remember a wow factor with the v2 Taco. This is me

I’m surprise you don’t use a pedal switcher. OD in the front of the amp and clean boost in the loop with the four cable method. Set it up so they both come on at the same time with one footswitch giving you both more gain and more volume.

Clean boosts in the loop Do Not add gain, ...it's ok I know I'll have to post that a few more times

This is the most straightforward answer. Something like an FM3/VM4 in 4-cable method could do both with a single foot stomp too.

Every time I read your description of the V2 PT it makes me want one. 50 watt version would be ideal though.

Funny I just seen your video today, pretty cool  Im looking for a new amp that I can play classic stuff and more. This amp looks promising.
I know it can do the Van Halen thing but I want those ACDC tones as well.

The 20 watts has me thinking not so much.
