So I have this strat that I decided to restring today. After the old strings were removed I thought I would swap out the S-S-S loaded pick guard for a loaded H-H pick guard. Sounded easy enough. Simple two wire deal. I get it done and plug in my tuner and no output. WTF! I take it all apart again and carefully check my connections with a multimeter. All good. Plug a cable in and check again. Yup, still good. All back together...new strings...tuner....nothing! WTF!!x2.

Its because strats were made for single coil pups and not humbuckers. The guitar knows.

I tuned up another guitar to verify correct operation.
