I spent about a half hour with it using headphones. I thought it kicked ass actually. I could spend a lot of time on the Randy Rhoads simulation. Once I get some more done to the house I spend a little on myself and grab one of these.

I dig gnx 3000 most out of all modelers.
I had - pod xt, boss gt-6, v-amp2 and played gt-8, pod 2.0, vox one

I found gnx 3000 to be best in terms of basic tones it has, reaction to articulation (clears out beautifully with lighter picking, and volume roll off).
I bought mfx supermodels and they are well worth it (60 bucks as far as I remember) - best non amp tone I ever got !!! couldn't be happier :-D

It kind of lacks in effects dept - only basic ones are available - but whammy is good and wah is better than or other units I think.

its great as a backup set as well - you simply plug it to PA and get exactly same tone as in headphones - which has not been my experience with pod that I used for 2 years.

THE GNX modelers
are modeled after the DIGITECH 2101
and i can tell you guys this much the 2101 smoke's it hands down

i did like my GNX units for awhile
then i went to Boss GT 6 and 8 units

then i built my rack
and ill never go back to those GNX / Boss units again :twisted:

id try and find one of these 2101 's before buying a GNX
but read up on them frist 110 page manule is one big deal :)

Actually, it was more like this:

Digitech 2101 ->

Johnson Millennium ->

Johnson J-Station ->

Digitech Genesis/GNX.

They were more than a couple products between the 2. ;)
